Unequivocally a well rounded wordsmith, fiercely passionate and spiritual to boot. Heart warming profile
ReplyDeleteInteresting that he prefers to write in his Mother Tongue. Will like to see his books written in English
ReplyDeleteA splendid, highly talented gentleman - from all accounts. Kudos
ReplyDeleteRaphael I am really enjoying your blogs and wondered if we could talk about african children's fiction as I think you know a great deal about it. Would it be possible to talk by email? I am d dot brockington at sheffield.ac.uk
ReplyDeleteKudos to Monsieur Mafike -a well rounded gentleman, as well as being a distinguished wordsmith
ReplyDeleteAn interesting Profile. Another Intriguing African Writer.
ReplyDeleteOver 30 books published? Wonderful. Can't see much of him on goodreads, though
ReplyDeleteLaudable that he mainly writes in his Mother Tongue, or African language(s). Would be wider known if critiques of his work can be done in English, though
ReplyDeleteAn important African Writer.
ReplyDeleteSomeone has mentioned goodreads website here...which is an awesome world class site for books. Our African scholars, researchers, bibliophiles should ensure that our (African) books are well represented on the site.
ReplyDeleteQuite interesting really. This site is remarkable as it continues to focus on African Writers straddling the decades.
